Marbella and the Costa del Sol
Southern Spain is full of wonderful gems, making it one of the most diverse and sought after regions of the whole of Europe. With its beautiful beaches, nature reserves, mountains offering numerous leisure and sporting activities to its very cosmopolitan population. Of course it helps that that it enjoys approximately 320 days of sun a year, enjoying an enviable climate with summers invariably hot and dry with temperatures in the 30’s whilst winters tend to be mild with sporadic bursts of rainfall.
Whether it be the windsurfers who flock to the beautiful sandy beaches of western Andalucia, the skiers that travel to the nearby Sierra Nevada to enjoy the incredible snowbound pistes and après-ski night life or simply the residents and tourists who enjoy the local miles of beautiful beaches and watersports, southern Spain certainly has so much to offer them.
The small white villages of the local countryside or the modern, cosmopolitan
towns and resorts such as Marbella all share a history of occupation by Phoenicians,
Carthaginians, Romans and Moors each leaving their architectural and cultural
imprints that make Andalucia and its people so special.
With an ultra modern airport, marinas and harbours , high speed trains and a
comprehensive motorway infrastructure it really is so easy to get here!
